Nokia Shorts Competition Winner: JW Griffiths Wins with Splitscreen: A Love Story, A Romantic Short Film Made by Nokia N8 Cell Phone

Low-budget art is very in with the recent recession, and Nokia’s recent competition, The Nokia Shorts Competition, is one of many contests arising out of a combination of a struggling economy and a dire need for creativity to help drive sales. The Nokia Shorts Competition was a search for who could make the best short film using only a cell phone camera. Armed with only his Nokia N8 cell phone, JW Griffiths won with his short film “Splitscreen: A Love Story”.

Although JW Griffiths did not come without experience, previously directing commercial ads, JW found it no problem to create something beautiful on a very low budget. Using cinematography tricks such as a Steadicam, he filmed this short film with great skill.

My All Public Clothing Review

Yesterday, “First Class Fashionista” received two dresses from All Public Clothing and I was happy to review the All Public Clothing Margo maxi. After trying it on, I never wanted to take it off. It’s 100% cotton and so comfortable, wearing it feels better than being naked– I’d never thought I’d say that. This is the first maxi dress I’ve owned, and I’m so excited because maxi dresses really are the hottest, yet most comfortable fashion trend. I recommend every Fashionista get one. In a maxi dress you look glam, but really the look is effortless.

I got the Margo dress in a small and black. The Margo is simple–with details such as silver buttons in the middle and a ruffled, instead of a tucked in, seam. Overall, it’s really quite lovely. I chose the Margo dress over the Fito because I thought I would have the opportunity to wear it more often.

Last week, 14-year-old Payton Wall from New Jersey had the meet-up of a lifetime when she met Justin Bieber through President Obama. Payton Wall wrote a 1,500 word email to President Obama explaining her life story and how she lost her father in the twin towers on 9/11. After explaining what an inspiration Bieber’s documentary, “Never Say Never” was to her, Obama agreed to arrange for her to meet Justin Bieber.

Although I was skeptical to see this after reading several reviews, I was pleasantly surprised! Bad Teacher was hilarious! The awkward chemistry between Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake was perfect, and the flirty competitiveness between Diaz and Segal was beyond funny.

The Detective Jane Rizzoli and, the Medical Examiner, Dr. Maura Isles from TNT’s fairly new drama series “Rizzoli and Isles” are a perfect team. Dr. Isles and Detective Rizzoli are from opposite worlds, but yet they work hand in hand solving Boston’s most notorious crimes. Dr Isles is flirty, elegant, comes from a wealthy family, and went to all the best schools in order to become one of the best Medical Examiners. In contrast, Jane Rizzoli is a bold, aggressive, blue-collar detective who never had the opportunity to go to college. She worked her way all the way up the ranks in the police force in what was always considers a man’s world.

303 Magazine Pool Party Review

Upon entering the 303 Magazine Pool Party at Breakers Resort in Denver, I immediately was greeted by an attractive woman in a bikini. From the entrance, I saw the Breakers’ lake in the background, private tables around a beautifully designed pool, a DJ table, and a painter in the middle of a fountain. This annual party, held the last Sunday of June, July, and August, was obviously expertly planned. It was everything one would expect from a first class pool party; inexpensive drinks, beautiful girls in bikinis, fabulous music, and a perfect atmosphere. In this small area, hundreds of people were having a great time dancing, drinking, and enjoying the pool.

For a small cover of only $25 at the door, $20 if you pre-ordered, this party surpassed all expectations. There were several high-profile guests such as the CU football players and many NBA players, and of course 303 Magazine’s publisher AB Aharonian. Not to mention the Global Dance Festival VIP…
